- Fans of the show have become super invested in the program but noticed a cast OG wasn’t around in more recent episodes.

Article continues below advertisement No, these aren’t homes that eat people’s brains or are set in post-apocalyptic scenarios with small groups of survivors making tough decisions that end with a bunch of folks getting their heads bashed in with a baseball bat.
Although the name is spooky sounding, Zombie House Flipping has a fairly normal premise. It’s all about house flipping (duh), but taking the grossest, most bottom-barrel homes the show’s cast can find and restoring them into charming domiciles folks would actually want to move into, instead of just speeding past them or creating a ton of urban legends around the building.

He still “rescues” wrecked homes and then turns them for a profit, but he’s just not doing it on camera anymore.

Mapei Corporation recently teamed up with the Zombie House Flippers on A&E’s popular home-remodeling show “Zombie House Flipping” to turn a derelict Orlando, Fla., property into a beautiful residence. Logan Reavis, technical services manager for Mapei Corporation, provided technical assistance off- and on-camera.
“The show notes called this house ‘3,000 square feet of hell’,” Reavis said. “It was 3,000 square feet of wildly different substrates – in different stages of disrepair.” Reavis toured the home and spent time with the Zombie Flippers, Ashlee Casserly and Keith Ori, discussing what they wanted to achieve; he then designed the product recommendation based upon his findings.
Reavis described the “hellish” project: “There were 10 rooms. Some floors had uneven or cracked concrete slabs, new concrete slabs, old concrete slabs; one room featured an old mud bed, a couple rooms were the original terrazzo. The only thing they all had in common was the fact that it was a mess.” Even though “Zombie House Flipping” is a TV show, the investments made on the properties are very real.

Marley, the little dog who became a global sensation after hundreds joined him on his last walkies, has passed away.The seven-year-old Cocker Spaniel was Ashleigh Murray’s constant companion and helped the Belfast woman through her toughest times.Marley was diagnosed last November with Haemangiosarcoma which is cancer of the blood vessel walls and is a very aggressive cancer in dogs. Nine days ago Ashleigh and Marley were joined by around 400 people and their dogs for a walk at Crawfordsburn, for Marley’s Big Walk.
Ashley said this evening: “I have lost the light of my life. Today at 2pm Marley went to sleep. “His day was filled with a million loves, cuddles and kisses. He had sausages for breakfast and then we carried him to the park and sat in the fresh air just watching the world go by.
Our house is beyond heartbroken tonight. The silence is numbing. We lost the centre of our family today. We handled 3000 houses throughout Florida over an 18-month period, and eventually got back to flipping in 2010. Zombie houses were everywhere at the time- tall yards, boarded up windows, pool cages; we knew what to look for.
- As the Orlando real estate market came back to life so did our business.
- In 2012 I picked up a monster historic zombie house and quickly realized I was in way over my head.
- It wasn’t the first time, as jumping in the deep end is almost a trademark of mine, but I worked my way through it and wound up winning the City of Orlando’s 2013 Historic Preservation Award for Best Preservation.
I also won the award a second time, in 2017, for a house you may have seen on season two of our show Zombie House Flipping. It’s kind of full circle from where I started, with a little TV thrown in for good measure, and I can say honestly that I’ve enjoyed every bit of the ride.
