Robustness is one of several stats that determine how a player is built in Elden Ring. It is a defensive stat that provides resistance to hemorrhage and frostbite. Is robustness good in Elden Ring?
How to improve Robustness – Defense stats like Immunity, Vitality, Focus, Physical Defense, and Robustness in Elden Ring represent resistance against various effects. Robustness primarily provides resistance against Hemorrhage and Frostbite. The higher amount of Robustness a character has, the less susceptible they are to the afflictions mentioned above.
Status Effects like Hemorrhage and Frostbite affect a player’s HP directly, and it is lethal when left unattended. Having a low amount of Robustness reduces the chances of survivability against many opponents. Players can equip a few Armaments that can increase Robustness in Elden Ring, For instance, General Radahn’s Armaments have the highest Robustness compared to other armor sets.
You will find a similar Robustness stat with Lionel’s set of Armaments. Similarly, equipping Talismans like the Stalwart Horn Charm and Mottled Necklace increase a character’s Robustness. Endurance is one of the Primary Attributes in the game, and it directly affects Robustness.
- Players can increase this Attribute beyond level 31 to improve the Robustness of their character.
- You can use Runes from an early stage in the game to increase Endurance.
- Players will also come across Items that temporarily boost Robustness in Elden Ring,
- Items like Invigorating Cured Meat and Invigorating White Cured Meat temporarily boost this defensive stat in the game.
One of the best methods to achieve high Robustness in the game would involve defeating General Radahn early on. You can find this boss at the southeastern edge of Caelid at Redmane Castle. Defeat General Radahn and purchase his Redmane Helm, Lion Armor, Gauntlet, and Greaves from Finger Reader Enia.

What is the strongest attribute in Elden Ring?
Best stats to level up in Elden Ring – Whenever you level up, you’re faced with another choice: which of your 8 stats to increase. Below, we’ll cover which of your stats you should prioritise early on in your adventure. If you’re not opting for a specific Elden Ring build, here’s our recommended order of importance for levelling up your stats:
- Endurance
- Vigor
- Dexterity
- Strength
- Intelligence
- Faith
- Mind
- Arcane
Endurance is the most important stat to level up early on, no matter your chosen Elden Ring class, because it increases your stamina. Stamina is required for attacking, blocking, dodging, running, and just generally staying alive during fights. It’s by far the thing you need most at the beginning of the game.
Endurance also increases your equip load, so that you can equip some of the best armor in Elden Ring, Vigor is next, because it increases your maximum health. Doing this can make fights a lot easier, because suddenly you take two hits to die, instead of just one fateful smack. Dexterity and Strength are required stats for handling most weapons.
They also scale up the damage you deal with those weapons, but the effect is slight enough to be overshadowed by simply upgrading your weapon using Smithing Stones, I’d recommend setting your eyes on some of the best weapons you can find early on, and increasing your Strength and Dexterity until you reach the requirements.
Intelligence and Faith govern your power with Sorceries and Incantations, respectively. Spells are very powerful in Elden Ring – but again, the damage scaling you receive by upgrading these stats is quite slight. Don’t just pump these stats full of points: work towards a spell requirement goal. Mind improves your maximum FP, which is your mana.
It’s worth putting a few points in your Mind stat over the course of your first few dozen levels, but otherwise you can more or less leave it unless you’re going for a dedicated spellcaster setup. Arcane improves your item discovery, which is your chance of finding items to loot on corpses.
- It’s nice, but certainly not worth prioritising unless you happen to find a spell or weapon that requires a certain amount of Arcane knowledge, such as Reduvia – one of our favourite early weapons in Elden Ring,
- That wraps up our guide on how to level up in Elden Ring.

Is Elden Ring damage too high?
The damage is definitely way too much compared to the other games. I even replayed ds3 recently to make sure I’m not just imagining things and putting points into hp actually made you survive a lot of hits there. I think only nameless king would still 2-3 shot you but he’s pretty slow.
Does more strength mean more damage in Elden Ring?
Strength – Strength does several things in Elden Ring, it increases your physical damage output, allows you to wield heavier weapons, and increases your equipment load. This means you can wear heavier armor to increase your defense. Article continues after ad If you’re rocking a strength and endurance build, your character will be able to use large weapons, wear heavy armor, and still move quickly in combat.
Subscribe to our newsletter for the latest updates on Esports, Gaming and more. Wearing heavy armor without enough strength will cause your character to ‘fat roll’ which means they won’t be able to dodge effectively. It also impedes the regeneration speed of your stamina and causes you to move slower.
Depending on your build, it’s usually wise to stop leveling Strength once you’ve allocated 50 points to it. Any more results in diminishing returns. However, you can push to 60 if you feel like you need to. Article continues after ad FromSoftware The Knight is similar to many Dark Souls strength builds.
What armor prevents Scarlet Rot?
To get the highly resistant Mushroom Set in Elden Ring, Tarnished must reach the Atlus Plateau region, located north of Liurnia of the Lakes. The Mushroom Set is a collection of light armor pieces in Elden Ring that do not offer much protection or an appealing appearance. However, Tarnished will seek after this armor set not for its damage negation but instead for its superior Resistances. The Mushroom Set will boost its wearer’s Immunity, Focus, Robustness, and Vitality by a considerable margin.
For example, the armor can mitigate the buildup of Scarlet Rot in Elden Ring, allowing players to traverse hazardous environments with ease. To acquire the Mushroom Armor Set in Elden Ring, Tarnished must travel to Mt. Gelmir within the Atlus Plateau. Along the canyon river deep below the mountain sits a grotto known as Seethewater Cave.
The cavern is a poisonous bog, filled with hostile Servants of Rot, Skeletal Slimes, and Giant Poison Flowers. Therefore, it is highly recommended that players have a means of removing Poison if they wish to venture into Seethewater Cave. To reach Seethewater Cave in Elden Ring, players must activate the Grand Lift of Dectus by finding both halves of the Dectus Medallion.

Is Melania immune to Scarlet Rot?
An Elden Ring fan shares their custom player character design for a reimagined version of Malenia, if she hadn’t been afflicted with Scarlet Rot. Elden Ring ‘s lore is a complex web of characters affiliated with different gods and groups, and what makes the story even harder to understand is that the game will never outright explain any of this to the player. Gamers are left to compile information from dialogues and item descriptions in order to put together a timeline of events and the many characters involved.
Something players have figured out is that the most powerful beings in Elden Ring ‘s lore are known as Outer Gods, which are formless, and often elemental, entities with unclear objectives in The Lands Between. One of the most mysterious of these Outer Gods in Elden Ring is the Outer God of Scarlet Rot, which is responsible for the flowering rot that infests many characters in Elden Ring and the entire area of Caelid.
The Outer God itself is said to be sealed away below the Lake of Rot and so the player will never encounter it directly. Scarlet Rot, therefore, has become much more synonymous with another character who players can encounter, Malenia, Blade of Miquella.
- Aside from Malenia being the most difficult boss fight in Elden Ring, the character is also incredibly important to the game’s story, as she is one of the shardbearing demigod children of Queen Marika.
- Specifically, Malenia is one of two cursed twins born to Marika and Radagon, and has been afflicted with Scarlet Rot since birth.
A Reddit user named legatii has used Elden Ring ‘s character creator to create what they believe Malenia would have looked like without this Scarlet Rot curse. Scarlet Rot can be seen corrupting Malenia’s entire body, and she has already lost an entire arm and leg to the affliction, along with her other leg below the knee, but legatii’s custom character shows what Malenia could have looked like without the Scarlet Rot.
- The Reddit user says they took inspiration for the character not just from Malenia as she exists in game, but from her in-game father Radagon, as it is from him that Malenia also gets her fiery red hair similar to her half-brother Radahn.
- Malenia is still an Empyrean character capable of becoming Elden Lord, which means that Malenia was not only powerful enough to hold back the Scarlet Rot that has been consuming her for her entire life, but she also became one of Elden Ring ‘s most powerful warriors at the same time.
A much stronger and Scarlet Rot-free version of Malenia should therefore be a terrifying concept for players that have already struggled with Malenia’s boss fight in Elden Ring, Although Malenia fights against her Scarlet Rot curse, she has been known to wield it as a weapon when faced with defeat.

Bull-Goat Set – Bull-Goat Set The final armor set on this list is the heaviest of them all. While it’s almost impossible to not be at Heavy Equip Load while using this set, players gain the advantage of having best-in-class physical defense and poise.
The other stats aren’t as high as Lionel’s set, though, which is why the Bull-Goat set isn’t as popular. To acquire this set, players need to defeat Great Horned Tragoth after saving Patches’ life.
