I spent over 10 years coordinating environmental and youth projects. During that time I have trained in project management and organisational development with the European Youth Centre, the Regional Environmental Centre, BBF and the International Youth Nature Friends. The Leonardo placements in traditional skills and farming I organised sparked my interest in the UK and Yorkshire and in 2008 I moved to York.
Discovered in a particularly challenging period, YUMI was a breath of fresh air. I stayed involved with the organisation over the years, volunteering in various roles. At present I am assisting Sara with the events organisation and coordinating YUMI’s International Craft Group. Started from scratch, the group has now got six forthcoming sessions, two projects we initiated with Lhama and Mitsuo and a number of ideas to take us forward in 2015.
As well as volunteering with YUMI I am actively looking for opportunities in project management and administration. I hope however, to be able to take some time off and head to the Bulgarian mountains this summer. Walking, folding origami and reading are some of the activities that revitalise me and give me the necessary energy and drive to enjoy life.
Looking forward to meeting you at the next International Craft session!
